Ever witness a fight over which Content Management System is best? Have you participated in one?
Tired of it?
We are, and have created Platform Pub in response to the need for a place for open discussion on all of the available methods for publishing content to the internet. Each platform (we avoid the use of the term Content Management System here) offers different options and nuances that others do not. We believe that there is no platform that is perfect for every situation, and finding just the right one for a project can be essential when it comes to success.
So Platform Pub would like to be a place you can go to read up on platform news, innovations, and best practices. We don’t claim to be an expert in every platform we discuss here (although we hope to be, at some point) but recognize that where one platform falls short, oftentimes another can pick up the slack.
Currently the pub is serving:
- WordPress
- Movable Type
- TextPattern
- Joomla
- Drupal
If there is something you think we should look into, drop by the contact form and send us a note. We’re always open to reevaluating our priorities.
About the Authors
Ryan Imel
I am a web developer for a cool little studio in the Midwest called Element Fusion. I have had years of experience, primarily with WordPress, although I am very curious about what else is available.
I run a blog called Theme Playground where I review WordPress themes on a daily basis (unless I’m busy) and my personal blog is at RyanImel.com.
